His expertise spans IPO and SPAC readiness, S-1 and S-3 filings, PCAOB audits, SEC reporting, ASC 805 business combinations, equity compensation, revenue recognition, SOX implementation, and ERP and reporting system deployments.
 
Known for building finance functions from the ground up, Brooks has led multinational teams, implemented modern close and disclosure platforms, supported significant equity financings, and guided companies through acquisitions, integrations, and public market transitions. His background includes leadership roles in high-growth startups, large public enterprises, and successful exits, including a venture-backed AI company acquired by Intel.

David has served as CFO, Controller, Divisional Controller, and Director of Finance across general contractors, affordable housing developers, engineering firms, and FAR-regulated professional services organizations. His expertise spans job cost accounting, work-in-progress reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, overhead rate development, audit management, banking and bonding relationships, and complex revenue recognition under ASC 606.
 
Known for rolling up his sleeves when needed, David excels at building timely, accurate financial reporting, improving billing cycles, strengthening internal controls, and aligning project teams with financial accountability.
